As part of an experiment I stepped into the practice of yoga. We often experience a natural ‘high’ after certain activities that involve the body, so this was nothing new. However the way in which this practice combined the exploration of the body, and immediately showing me the connection to the mind and spirit - showing me through experience how this is a circular and connective process. It all has a clear effect on eachother.
The softness and malleability of yoga drew me to this practice as well. There is a sense of ‘coming as you are’ and an allowance for every day to be different. Because we as well are beings that are ever changing.
It doesn’t matter what drew you to yoga, what matters is the process, the practice - where we have the chance to observe ourselves and see what we are like. This gives us the tools and insight, for change.
I believe in the simplicity of the practice, you don’t need anything else besides your body and your breathe.
